When we started the development of LeanFIDS, we received many requests from airport crew for features that were "need-to-have" and "nice-to-have". This resulted in the following top 4:
- LeanFIDS should have a user-friendly interface;
- It should be easy to make flight plans;
- It should be possible to generate automated reports;
- It should be possible to interface to other airport systems.
Beyond that, the system should be flexible and solid as a rock. As a result, we developed a system where all information is gathered in just one main window. All menus are dynamic and context-sensitive, ensuring LeanFIDS is easy to learn and operate. Intuitive user guides are incorporated for functions not used every day, which results in a high learning rate and a low fail rate for operators.
LeanFIDS uses a new and unique way of planning and maintaining flight plans. The basic idea is to set up a flight only once, and not for every day it is scheduled, saving time and repetitive work. Exceptions to a general flight plan can be made for a period of time or for a single day. Integration with automatic slot services is also possible, with a clear distinction between automatically generated data and manually entered data.
No matter the size of your airport, LeanFIDS combines power, flexibility, and ease of use at a sensible price. We focus on user-driven innovation and can also address special demands.
